Sunday inspiration

Happy Sunday, friends.

Today's inspiration is artist and illustrator Bashir Sultani. In addition to creating many other types of art, Sultani makes art with salt. I've come across several salt artists in my travels around the Internet, but Sultani is a little different from many of the ones I've seen because his use of colored salt results in works of art that look almost like watercolor paintings. The following video is just one example. Enjoy!

Wishing you all a creative and inspirational Sunday. ☺

  5. That is amazing! I though it was going to be a man at first. It blows my mind how people can visualize this stuff from nothing.

    1. I agree. I have to plan when I make art. I wish I could be more spontaneous.

  7. You know it makes me crazy to watch these artists create something that won't last and therefore people won't see unless they stumble onto YouTube (or here). I'm both appreciative and envious of the creative genius, but I need some assurance of permanence.

    1. I know what you mean. I wanted to cry when he "messed up" his art at the end of the video. I love when artists use unusual materials, but the impermanence bothers me, too.

  12. Amazing. The neat thing about these artists is that they don't just create art, they create entertainment with serious "wow"factor! Another great find, Dana. ;-)
